Awana Awards night

tonite was the last night of AWANA at our church.  Sassy and Bubba both love AWANA and worked hard on their books.  Sassy finished her last Cubbie book, reviewed it and finished an extra credit book.

Bubba finished his first T & T book, reviewed it, and finished his silver and gold extra credit.  Because of all Bubba's hard work, he had over 13,000 points.  He won a new BIKE! (Sassy got a new bike too,  her KK found it for her)

KK's wedding

KK got married over spring break and Sassy has been really struggling with KK not being at Grandma's house anymore.  She sure loves her KK.  Spring break was full of wedding preparations.  We got our nails done, went with KK for the last fitting, rehearsal and finally the wedding.  The big day finally came and Sassy came down with a fever.  So, like a good mom and sis, I drugged Sassy with Tylenol and went to the wedding.  Here is my favorite pic of KK and Sassy.  I will have to get more pics later from KK.

Sassy's 5th Birthday!

We had such a fun 5th birthday!  Sassy had been waiting and waiting and waiting to turn 5!  She so wants to be 5 so she can go to Kindergarten.  I am so happy that my sis, KK and her hubby helped us out with the party prep on Sassy's big day.  We had "tower kabobs" and lots of fruit, Sassy's favorites like apples, blueberries, and strawberries. It just wouldn't be a Rapunzel party with out carrots for Maximus.
We had an awesome cake of course.  Sassy's grandpa made cupcakes and I found a Rapunzel topper.  It was great.
The cousins were able to play "pin the frying pan on Flynn" and paint with Rapunzel paints

Sassy's little friend "Funny Bunny"

So, we got home today and noticed that the kids snowman's nose, eyes and mouth fell off.  Sassy replies "Oh no, Funny Bunny must have done that.  Funny Bunny made the snowman's face fall off".  What an imagination she has!
I went over and "fixed" our snowy friend's face.  All of our "neighbors" love the snowy friends we made.

SNOW DAY!

Bubba and Sassy woke up to a surprise.  SNOW!  They also found out that they had a SNOW DAY!  They have been waiting and waiting and WAITING for snow.  So this morning was so exciting. So, to take advantage of the snow, they made snowmen.
first, rolling the base

second, the middle

third, the head

1 hour fun + hard work= PRICELESS
Sassy decided we needed to make another snowy friend.  With the help of Bubba she made this cute friend.

Tangled Party Prepartions

Daddy made the cute invitation shaped like a tower.  Then I had "Sassy" draw a picture of herself on the envelope to add a little bit of personalization. I found this idea off of kimbradykids.blogspot.com.  I just loved this idea and thought it tied it all together.
Today, "Sassy" and I started working on decoartions for her upcoming "Tangled" party.  She just loves Rapunzel and so wanted to have a party.  We started the day by mailing off some invites, and then off to the dollar store to buy some supplies.  When we got home, we turned on the Tangled movie and got to work.

We started by making Pascal Blowers.  I found this idea off the Family Fun website.  "Sassy" insisted on helping make them.  She was so proud!
The next project was a little more involved.  I wanted to make lanterns for her.  She LOVES that part of the movie and thought it would be cool to make some.  I had 5 jars at home, and found some paper doilies at the dollar tree.  Using a glue stick, we covered the jar with glue and then CAREFULLY put on the doilies.  "Sassy" wanted to help, but it was a little too hard for her to do.
This idea was super cute.  I found this awesome idea off the http://www.greatfun4kidsblog.com/
"Sassy" can't wait to use these not only at her party, but in her bedroom for decorations.
